Spaghetti Sauce


1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped peppers
3 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
12 tomatoes, peeled and chopped or crushed
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp brown sugar


Sauté peppers and onions until soft. Add garlic and sauté until lightly browned. Add tomatoes and basil, salt, pepper and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 2 to 3 hours on low, stirring occasionally.

Serve with pasta.
