Homemade Meat Lovers Pizza

🍽 Recipe of the Week features Pizza Dough, Schinkel’s Legacy Bacon, Grade A Canadian Lean Ground Beef, and Honey Maple Ham

Ingredients: (Serves 4–6)

– 1 ball frozen pizza dough (thawed) – On Sale at Schinkels’

– 1/2 lb Grade A Canadian Ground Beef – On Sale

– 4 slices Schinkel’s Legacy Bacon, chopped – On Sale

– 6 slices Honey Maple Ham, chopped – On Sale

– 1 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)

– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

– 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced (optional)

– 1/4 cup green pepper, diced (optional)

– 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little kick)

– 1 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano

– Olive oil (for brushing crust)

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (or as hot as your oven safely allows). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.

Cook the meats:

1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef until browned. Season with salt and pepper, then drain excess grease.

2. In a separate pan, cook the bacon until crisp. Set aside on paper towel to drain.

3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a 12–14 inch circle or rectangle, depending on your pan or stone. Place on a pizza peel, baking sheet, or parchment paper.

Assemble the pizza:

1. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough.

2. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella.

3. Top with cooked ground beef, chopped bacon, and honey maple ham.

4. Add red onions and green peppers if using.

5. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.

6. Brush the crust edges lightly with olive oil for a golden finish.

7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and the crust is golden and crisp.

Serve: Slice and serve hot! Pair with a fresh side salad or garlic bread.
